Government: Military autocracy
Head of state: Emperor Maximilian the 12th
Economy: Magindustrial in the Northeast. Small hold farming and timber in the Northwest and central. Mix of small hold farming and ranching in the South. Fishing along the coast.
Effects of the Harrying of the Dragons: Krondak was raided by flights of dragons but never conquered. The mages of the Imperial College led the development of the Dragon’s Bane spell, the casting of which led to the end of the Harrying.
Relations with other nations:
It is well known that the Emperor wants to unite all human lands under one rule. To facilitate achievement of this goal, the Imperial College has been focusing on developing new technologies as well as progressing the science of magic. The technologists have developed sophisticated muskets. The primary hindrance to mass production of these guns is the lack of the saltpeter needed to create gunpowder. Krondak is also developing railway technology. Their trains are not as sophisticated as those of Loksenta. Due to their expertise in creating steel alloys, their rails are more durable than Loksenta’s. Their skill at the magic that powers the system is on par with Loksenta’s.
Llwynedd: The Emperor and the mages of the Imperial College believe that the University holds the knowledge they need to fulfill Krondak’s destiny. The Krondak General Staff also believes that the elves abandoned their military after retreating into the Great Forest after the Third War of the Red Temple. Their plans for the next war focus on a lightning invasion of Llwnedd, even if they have to go through Fnorson to get there.
Fnorson, Gwenddon, and Loksenta: The Emperor believes that the nations with human majorities would willingly join the Empire if their current ruling families were removed.
The Five Nations: These small countries are the “Lost Colonies” that need to be returned to their rightful place in the Empire.
Ogakwa: The Zlobra are abominations that need to be exterminated. The General Staff have not figured out how the Zlobra defeated the Imperial Army so quickly and so decisively the last time it tried to invade Ogakwa.
Peroka: Once the University has been taken, the dwarves of Peroka would surrender and accept their place as servants of humankind. Either that, or the Empire would lock them underground forever.
Auriland: Once the Empire controls the West, Auriland would bow to the inevitable and join the Empire.
Capivan: This vast nation bore the brunt of the destruction wrecked during the Harrying of the Dragons. It has not yet recovered. It would offer little resistance to the Imperial Army.
